Pastoral Care Avon Lake Presbyterian Church is fortunate to have Reverend Thomas Robinson as our pastor. Rev. Thomas C. Robinson, was called to be the pastor and Head of Staff by the members of the Avon Lake Presbyterian Church on Sunday, November 28, 1999. Rev. Robinson previously served as pastor of North Presbyterian Church of Lansing, Michigan for 10 years. He also served the Gladden United Presbyterian Church in McDonald, PA for four years. Rev. Robinson received his undergraduate degree in history, in 1973, from Mercer University, Macon, Georgia. He began a career in journalism and worked as a sportswriter for the Greenville (SC) News for seven years before he followed his Call to ministry. He began his studies for the ministry at Columbia Theological Seminary in Decatur, Georgia, later transferring to Union Theological Seminary in Richmond, Virginia. He graduated in 1985 with Master of Divinity degree. He was ordained on April 14, 1985 in Pittsburgh Presbytery. Rev. Robinson and his wife, Sue, a nurse practitioner, along with their son Peter and daughter Mindy live in Avon Lake. Tom and Sue are both runners Rev. Robinson is active in the Avon Lake Ministerial Association, the Presbytery of the Western Reserve and is interested in sports, reading and traveling.
