Forum Tutorial

A couple of things to keep in mind before using the ALPC Forum:

  • Anything you post can be seen by the entire connected world
  • Do not put personal information in your profile or in your posts that you do not want to share with everyone

That said, here's how to get started:

Anyone can read the topics posted by our members by just clicking on the forum of interest.

To use the forum (start your own topics or write a response to others), you will need to register. To register, will have to choose a "Username" and "Password". We have had to change the method of registration due to internet issues, so if you are interested in joining our Forum, you will have to send an eMail to the Webmaster with your chosen Username and Password. They will send a note back to you when you are ready to sign on. Use the techniques listed below.

A new window will show up to take your information.

Once you have registered, you are ready to use the forum. Help for specifics on use can be found by clicking "FAQ" link also found in the upper right corner of the main forum page.

The forum is made up of Posts. Posts are like little sticky notes that remain stored on a database in the forum and can be referred to at anytime. There are two type of Posts; Topics and Replies. Topics are the main ideas of the forum. You post a topic when you have a new idea you would like to "discuss" with the members that use the forum. Replies fall under each topic and, as suggested, are a reply to the topic poster's idea. You post much like you send email and can format your words and even add pictures.

That's pretty much it! You will have a better idea of everything you can do using the forum.

Happy Posting!
